SoloClean Privacy Policy

SoloClean is an Android storage, media cleanup and app management tool developed by ECG Software. It processes your files and app information on your device for the purposes described below.

What information is processed and why?

Storage capacity, used and available space; names, types, sizes, dates, folder information and previews of photos and videos you allow access to; and Android-visible app names, package details and storage statistics are processed on the device. If you grant Usage Access, last-used information supports sorting and identifying unused apps.

Permissions and your control

Media access and access to files or folders you select are used to list files and perform cleanup actions you approve. Optional Usage Access shows when apps were last used. You may decline or revoke permissions in Android settings; related features will then be limited. Permission types vary by Android version. SoloClean has no Internet, camera, microphone, contacts, location, accessibility-service or unrestricted all-files access permission.

On-device storage and sharing

There are no accounts, advertising, analytics, telemetry or cloud synchronization. Photos, videos, app lists and usage information are not uploaded to a developer server. Scan results and image previews remain in memory while the app runs. Language and theme preferences, first-launch state, granted file/folder access, cleanup history and necessary favorite records are stored on the device. Data is not used for advertising or sold.

Cleanup history and deletion

Cleanup history stores operation summaries such as date, item count, total size and category, not the deleted media itself. You can delete local settings and records using Android’s clear-data or uninstall option. Clearing SoloClean’s app data does not delete the original photos and videos in your gallery.

Media deletion is carried out through your selection and the required confirmations. Trash and undo availability depend on the Android version and deletion method; permanently deleted files cannot be guaranteed recoverable.

External links and security

Privacy and website links open in an external browser, where the destination site’s privacy practices apply. App operations are designed to respect Android’s permission and storage boundaries. Protect access to your device using measures such as a screen lock.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIABILITY IS EXCLUDED FOR DATA LOSS AND DAMAGE ARISING FROM DELETION, SHARING, DATA EXPORT AND ACCESS BLOCKING ACTIONS CHOSEN BY THE USER. THE APPS DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION OR ABSOLUTE SECURITY.

THIS NOTICE DOES NOT REMOVE LIABILITY FOR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, UNLAWFUL DATA PROCESSING OR OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED. USERS RETAIN THEIR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
